Manga University Unboxes the Windows 7 Whopper

MU takes a look at the Japan only seven-patty Windows 7 Whopper from Burger King. This mammoth burger was released as a promotion for Microsoft’s Windows 7 and sold for only 777 yen to the first 30 customers who arrived at the store each day.

Our detailed unboxing footage details the size, shape, and usability of the burger. If you like it, make sure to show it to all of your friends by using the Share This button at the bottom of this post!

Japanese Word of the Day for November 13th, 2009

jwotd01Today’s Word: まずい Yucky. Something that’s おいしくない (not tasty) might just lack flavor, but a food that’s まずい is so bad you can’t eat it.

Japanese Word of the Day for November 12th, 2009

jwotd01Today’s Word: 美味しい(おいしい)Delicious. One of our favorite words here at MU. Use it when you present your latest “Manga Cookbook” creation!

Whet Your Appetite With MU’s New Video Series

Get out your chopsticks and soy sauce, because Manga University’s new video series “The Manga University Cooking Show” is all about whipping up delicious Japanese dishes just as they appear in your favorite manga.

Our first foray into the frying pan stars Yoko Ishihara, the genius chef  behind The Manga Cookbook. Ishihara-sensei will teach you how to make teriyaki sauce from scratch, and how to use it to cook your very own yakitori chicken kebabs!

Here’s the icing on the cake: MU is also proud to present our brand new video page where you can find links to all of our video series: “Manga Workshop,” “Meet The Manga-Ka,” “The Manga University Cooking Show,” “Japanese 101″ and more,  all in one place! Check it out here, and be sure to let us know how your own yakitori turns out!
