The three-month tour will kick off in Seattle (Sakura-Con, April 2-4), then head to Chicago (C2E2, April 16-18), Los Angeles (LA Times Festival of Books, April 24-25), New York (Book Expo America, May 25-27), the San Francisco Bay Area (FanimeCon, May 28-31), and Los Angeles again (Anime Expo, July 1-4).

In between convention stops, Manga University employees will conduct workshops at several schools and libraries across the country.

“We’re looking forward to getting together with manga and anime fans throughout the United States,” said Manga University founder Glenn Kardy. “Most Japanese manga companies fly in, attend one or maybe two events, then immediately head back home. Not us — we’re going to hang out for a while so people can really get to know us.”

For more information or to schedule a Manga University workshop at your school or library, please write to us via our contact page.

Last week a mysterious bunny hopped onto the MU home page. Many of you suspected it was the sign of a new manga on the horizon… Well, you were right — and we can’t wait to tell you all about it! Manga University is proud to announce “StepMania: The Manga,” an all-new, original comic based on the wildly popular dance/rhythm game.

Made in consultation with the game’s creator, Chris Danford, and written by up-and-coming Japanese manga artist Uno Shino, “StepMania: The Manga” follows the exploits of a brash high-schooler named Yukino as she is thrown headfirst into the world of StepMania by her best friend and veteran dancer Momo, who works at the local arcade.

“StepMania: The Manga” is a fast-paced mixture of humor, adventure and lots of dancing that is a must-read for manga fans and gamers alike. There are even a few game-related tips sprinkled through the story to get readers more involved in the game and its massive community.

Two pages of “StepMania: The Manga” will be released free of charge every week on mangauniversity.com. Readers and fans are also invited to comment and offer feedback on the comic as it’s being made!

Head to stepmaniathemanga.com every day leading up the launch of the comic to read character bios, story summaries, and more!

How it works: Before looking at the card and explanation below, think of a question that you would like some advice on, the more specific the better. For instance, don’t ask vague questions like “what does my future hold?” Pick something really specific like “How should I tell my friend I really like them?” or “Should I run for class president?”

Because each tarot card has a specific meaning you can take that meaning as advice to answer your question. Of course you can’t rely on the tarot to be your only answer, but it can often make a choice clearer or provide a different prospective that hadn’t occurred to you.

…Okay, got your question? Read on for your tarot!

Very few people have an easy path when it comes to money. You’ve got to take the ups with the downs, and the Two of Coins is a reminder that there will be plenty of downs to go along with every up.
