NOW PLAYING: Giant Nengajo Time-Lapse
Every year at the end of December, in Tokyo's historic Itabashi district, the decades-old Fukuyoshi Lumberyard creates a unique nengajo (New Year's Card) made from hundreds of 10-foot strips of lumber. This special time-lapse video captures the assembly of the card, which features a playful manga illustration of the mystical creature that gives The Year of the Dragon its name!
